Tape for sealing overlap in Plastic Vapor Barrier
What do you recommend to seal the overlap joints in vapor barrier plastic in my crawl space?
Something not too expensive but good.
Thanks

I just put a 6 mil plastic vapor barrier in my crawl space. I used a product called "Gorilla tape" that is sold in the paint section of the big home stores. It looks like black duct tape. This tape is VERY sticky and is supposed to be water proof. I made the mistake of using it to hold up a dust barrier when I was remodeling my bathroom and it removed the paint, texture, and paper all the way down the to gypsom in the drywall. But it is perfect for a crawl space or holding anything you do not want to ever come apart. Good luck on your project. Zack Fuelling Sacramento, CA
