Water in Attic. What do I need to replace?

I'm currently having my roof replaced. The roofer pulled off the old one and put down 30 lb felt paper but before he could put the new shingles on a rather violent storm with a lot of water showed up.

The felt did a good job for the amount of water but some still got in the attic. There doesn't appear to be any water damage to the drywall on the ceiling below (not yet anyways) but the insulation between the trusses and joists definitely got wet.

We got fans in there and mopped the puddles that formed pretty quickly. Since we are coming on the dry winter season do I really need to worry about mold? I think I want the contractor to replace it anyways but is there more I need to worry about?

Thanks for the advice!

Welcome to the forums!

As long as everything gets dried out and there is no apparent water damage - it should be fine.

How much and what type of insulation do you have?
If some is very wet and the contractor is going to replace it, removing some will help you see how much water got through. Although fiberglass will dry, gravity is moving the water the wrong way and trapping it deep below the insulation. 6" of fiberglass, not much of a problem. 16" and it could take a long time.

There is insulation in between the trusses. Its just the roll stuff that it 4-6 inches deep. On the floor there is the same stuff between the joists.
