Question

Like the previous two gentlemen, I'm messing around with my attic. The difference is I only want to use the available space it provides for storage. What type material should I use for flooring? I would assume that I can insulate it as you previously advised others, which would help with the energy bill at home? Thanks, jaager6

If you have a big enough access, 4X8 sheets of plywood work good. No less than 1/2", 5/8" is better, and 3/4" is best.

Hello
what szie are the ceiling joist? How much insolation do you have and what type bat or blown, you can not compact it and have the full R value. What are you going to store? The attic can have major temporatures changes form well over 100* to way down below freezing. AS jaager6 has said plywood is the best way to go you can allways rip the 4x8 sheets into 2-2x8 sheets so you can get them into the attic...
