I am redoing tile ceiling and do not know where to find new ones. I would like to repaint them but some are damaged and need to be replaced.... so I went to local Home Depot. Unfortunately I was unable to find same ones and did not like the selection they carried. So my question is where can I view a selection of tiles that are available. Would appreciate any tips....stores, web sites, companies..etc.
Thanks

Hello
If you could give a bit more information we can help. Do you know who made what you have? what is the pattern and size? You can look on line or in the yellow pages and find
a contractor that install drop ceilings they may have a few tile that you can buy cheap, left over from some job and it could be just what you need...

Thanks for rely. As far as being more specific about the tiles I have now: they are 2x4 in size, I do not know who the manufacturer is (as the house I bought is an older house), and although they have no specific design they do have a texture to them. The reason I posted the question is to find a better slection because the only stores I know of carry the basic 2x4 tiles that are kind of basic looking, like you find in a commercial building. I am not looking to purchase the exact tiles I have now unless I happen to come across them. I will even buy the "plain" tiles if that is all I am able to find, but I would prefer something a little nicer looking as it is for a finished living space.
Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

Hello
You can get 3/8" seet rock cut to fit in the ceiling grids you have now and paint every thing one color, Do not know why a drop ceiling was installed, to cover up the ducting and plumbing? if so you could not just remove and hang sheet rock.
but you could make the drob cieling frame out of wood and hang sheetrock on it.....run the 2x4 for joist and run them right under the floor joist above nail pliwood hangers onto both joist, to hold on a string line to keep it flat from each direction, install several on each joist to hold the waight of the sheetrock and the wood ceiling joist. Install lighting and you may nee to keep access to some of the plunbin or duckt work with a access hole with cover....Good Luck....

Ken: Your tiles are probably either Armstrong, or USG.
USG catalogs are very hard to find, but most floor and ceiling stors will have Armstrong. They have lots of patters in your size. Good Luck. PS Do not cut sheetrock in place of your tile squares.
