Leaking around old drain pipe in basement

My house was built in the early 70s. I just noticed water in the basement for the first time (after owning the house for a year), and traced it back to around this old drain pipe:

After looking at this, I'm pretty surprised that I didn't have water down here sooner. Feeling around, everything is totally dry above and around this pipe, and it seems to be the only place in the basement where water is coming in.

So I'm going to try to fix this. Is it just a matter of chipping out some of the old material around the outside of the pipe and then filling it with hydraulic cement? Any tips or advice for me on this one? I was planning on doing something similar to this video:

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
