Moisture on basement Floor_ Want to finish my floor_Need help

Hello
I have finished my outside of my house with wheeping tile, Blue skin, insulation board, and filtered sock on the wheeping tile which was place so many inches pass my footings.

My question in after a year now, I still get some efflorecents white power on my basement floor,,,,I have done the plastic test and I do have some moisture coming thru my floor,

So I want to put a floor down and my qusetion is Super Seal dimppled flooring ok to use? Its like Delta floor. Same material everything the same. But I trying to figure out if or why do I have to leave a 1/4 inch of the dimppled floor away from my walls in my basement when putting it down? they say air flow. But I putting base boards on as well wont this defeet the purpose. Please help not sure what to do. Thanks

Craig

I don't know if what you did was under the basement floor, but what you describe is hydrostatic water pressre below the slab. Probably a high water table.

hello Just Bill

Yes Thats what I notice when I was doing the wheeping tile. I was considering a sub Pump. But since I have no water coming in ..I was just thinking of putting down that delta floor dimpled membrane....with 1 inch foam 300 then 3/4 inch OSB tongue and Groove 4x8 sheets. I have also consider using a 20 psi drylock sort of paint .....I figure I can put the pump in if I need it down the road. What do you think?

Also does the dimpled membrane need to be 1/4inch away from you interior walls in the basement to breath? I have seen it done with low expension foam spray along the edge of the dimpled floor where it meets the walls. I confused on what I should do.

Thanks

Basement Floor

Hello
Looking for some advice on how I should tackle my basement floor.

I have some white efflorence powder on the floor. I know I have some moisture coming up from the cement floor. I had my wheeping tile done. I know it works because we had some heavy rain and it worked. So I am thinking my basement was built in the water table which makes the floor moist. I was thinking of putting in a sump pump now. I never get water in the basement but because of the floor moisture I was going to put a pump in and use dimppled membrane on top and put 3/4 OSB 4x8 sheets on top of that and then put a rug on top of that. But I not sure if this is proper. Need advice some help thanks.
