Would like to cut 4" hole through bsmt wall to vent dryer to outside. Location would be approx. 12" down from bsmt ceiling. Outside would be about 12" above ground level next to outside A/C unit.

Would appreciate any tips on drilling/cutting such a hole through concrete block foundation, best way to seal etc. Thanks

I would not recommend placing this so close to the AC that lint could get sucked in by the fan. Concrete block is fairly easy to work on especially if you hit a cavity. One way is to start chiseling or hammering. I would get a masonry bit long enough to drill through the block and use this as a pilot or continue to drill around the edge of your proposed hole. This will give you a tidy edge when you hammer the area out. Fill with cement any cavity in the block and then around your vent pipe.
