Question

I have a half bath in my finished basement. What I want to do is extend the wall out and add a shower stall. Unfortunately, the room that I want to extend the wall into does not have any plumbing that I can tap into (i.e. drain, hot water, cold water, etc. My question is, is this going to be possible or should I just keep the half bath and not be concerned about adding the shower.

Hello
It will take some work but if you would like or need a shower it can be done, Remove the sheet fock under sink to the wall that you are going to install the shower to get hot/cold water, sheet rock can be repaired when you do the sheet rock work in the addition. the best place to go for the sewer is to the toilet break out the concrete remove as much as need to do the work it will take no more work to replace than a hole to small to work in, run a drain line to the spot you want the shower to drain, make sure you run a vent so it will drain properly and meet building codes. Now just make all the repairs to what you had to do to make it work, it will take time but is not that hard and can be fun if you make it fun.....that is what doing it your self is all about......Good Luck
