Cool

We have a home built in 1932. The attic was finished in the early 60's. There is no insulation there and plaster walls. We are wanting to put in insulation and drywall back up instead of plaster. Is this possible as a do-it-yourself or should we hire it done? We redid our bathroom 2 years ago, it had plaster walls with slat boards. We did it ourselves. Help! Having no insulation has made it really cold this winter, we need this done. Thanks!

Yes, this is a job you probably have the ability to do. It just will not be alot of fun. If you hired it done, it would be done in a couple of days. If you do it, it will become one of those put off projects, or half done projects.
Remember, getting that sheetrock into your attic is going to be a job in itself. I would probably hire it done, but the choice is yours.
