moving basement stairs....going through cement wall from garage

We would like to move our stairs going to the basement. We have a set of stairs at one end of the room (room was a garage, but is now part of the house) and we would like to move it to the other end to make the room more useable. This would involve going through the cement wall into the basement, and through the cement floor of the room/previous garage. How feasible is this and what kind of costs are we looking at?

Welcome to the forums! Cutting concrete is not a job for the faint of heart. It would also require the blessings of a structural engineer beforehand. You may want to post some pictures of both locations so we can see what you see. We may have alternatives for you that would work.

I had a client with a very obtrusive staircase which we turned into a spiral staircase and gave them more room. Not sure if that would be your cup of tea or not.
