Old stone basement wall and use of drylok oveer paint

I have an old Michigan stone wall basement where very little water seeps through. The walls have been painted in previous years. Will drylok seal over paint? I would term this a moisture and not a steady or very obvious leak.

Tried running a dehumidifier?

If you really want to seal the walls, try stopping the water from getting to them from the exterior first. Many options are available.

Then, and only then, should you go the Drylok route. I personally think you would do best by completely removing all of the paint first, but the paint experts may have other ideas. What say you, guys?

Has anyone used the BEHR basement & masonry waterproofer vs the drylok extreme?

i'm certain someone has but it hasn't work'd either,,, IF you don't/can't/won't stop the wtr outside ( waterproofing ), nothing inside will,,, then you're forced into water management
