Finishing Basement.

Hello, I am planning on finishing my basement.
I would like to know what products would be good to use as a sub floor over the concrete floor.

I am planning on putting some type of laminate flooring down..

Thanks

I'm a fan of rubberized flooring. No sub floor is needed & water can't damage it. Otherwise 3/4 plywood would be the next choice.

Moisture and laminate are a bad combination and with basements typically having moisture infiltration, I would not install laminate. Ceramic tile is my first choice.

Welcome to the forums! No fan of laminate, or MDF with a picture of wood on it. I would opt for 5/8" click lock engineered flooring over a manufacturer's approved underlayment. IMO, placing plywood on concrete is asking for issues down the road, including door intersections, etc. I also like the rubberized (Allure) type flooring. It is tough and almost impervious to moisture, dogs and kids.
