Question

Which is the better basement? Looking on building, costs are about the same. What would you all recommend?

If costs are the same, go poured.

Any reason why? Blocks look nicer don't you think?

For every block you have a potential of 3 leaks. With a poured foundation no leaks. With a block, you will have a separate footing, with a wall, the wall and the footing will be one pour. A poured wall will be cheaper. But if you want a good block look, spend the money, put in the blocks, and hope you have no leaks. End of story.

Thumbs up

Thanks Jack
Over the weekend I also heard of some contractors having forms that give you a block look while pouring the walls. I guess that would be the best of both worlds!
Thanks again
