Question about seperating living space in basement

I am going to be moving with my brother and aunt. I will be using the basement for a bedroom and my own little living space. There is a small open bathroom and washer and dryer hook ups and wanting to separate all that from my space. But this is a rental so cant do anything permanent. So what I was thinking of doing is getting something like a long shower rod (if possible) and get decorative curtains and use them as a temporary wall. It sounds like a good idea and I don't think it would look too bad and if anyone needs over to the other part of the basement, the curtains can slide over. But not sure if this is possible, if so. where can I get long and sturdy rods and how do I connect them to the basement wall?

I can also try to connect them to the ceiling.

Welcome to the forums!

How long is the distance the curtain rods would need to span? Another option would be some of those folding divider panels that stand on their own. I'm sure they have a proper name but I don't know it
