Not Enough Attic Ventilation?

I have a finished room in the attic on one side of the house that is always 10-15 degrees hotter than the rest of the house in the summer. There is a small triangular space in the center of the room and I want to know if a Gable Vent on that end of the house will draw some air through and cool things down?

You need to figure out how the attic is vented before going further. Soffit vents, ridge vents, gable vents, roof vents, etc. You will need to determine the amount of makeup (outside air) available and then determine the size, location, and number of exhaust vents needed.

Hot air doesn't just exit by itself, it is pushed out by the incoming cooler air. Thus the list goldstar asked for is a must. The amount of push comes from the temperature difference and the height difference between the high vent and low vent. That small triangular space needs a vent path to a lower source of cooler air to have any effect.
