Unfinished basement w/no bedrooms and non-inhabited, just appliances and space

Are old windows that were covered up needed by code ???? Vents holes of any kind needed ?? Plenty of info for a finished basement, but none for unfinished. What do most codes say for vents or openings of any kind needed for UNFINISHED basements? Can anyone help with an answer for this? Thank You Kindly

Local codes can vary quite a lot. You really need to contact someone locally. Most basements just need the vents for the plumbing. I don't like the idea of blocking windows since they can be a point of egress but that may not be part of the code.
