I framing basement and then insulating with roxul. What are the cons of using metal studs?
Does the bottom track have to have some type of barrier from concrete?

Metal studs below grade can (not necessarily will) have the propensity to rust, but if care is taken they are fine. Use sill seal foam under the bottom plate to create a buffer between the concrete and the metal. Owens Corning 3-1/2 in. x 50 ft. FoamSealR Sill Plate Gasket-1FS - The Home Depot
