Hi. I would like to put a bathroom in my basement, but cannot find where the sewer line is. All my 4" drain pipes from the second floor go directly into the cement floor of the basement. There is one clean out plug located in a corner of the basement. What is the best way for me to locate my sewer line for me to tap into it.?

Thanks,
Mike

Basemnt Bathroom

I think the only way around it is to dig out around the Main Service below the Clean out, Cut the Pipe and add an elbow. Dig a trench below the Cement floor to run the toilet service and attach. If you find out that there is another way, I'd appreciate an email. I am potentially faced with the same scenario and have asked several other people and they all lean towards my answer. Thanks and Good luck.
