Attic mold removal and prevention

Hello,

As everyone knows this winter has been brutal to Massachusetts, and I posted a question on here about a month ago when I discovered mold and moisture on my roof decking while in the attic. The consensus was that my ridge vent was too skinny (contractor told me same thing) and not having any soffits was not allowing for moisture to travel appropriately up. I have a contractor here as we speak widening my ridge vent and cutting soffits so I will have adequate ventilation.

So now that the underlying problem for the mold will be fixed, how do I fix the consequences of the moisture in the attic? I have sprayed all the attic decking with a mold killer from The Home Depot. How should I get up there and remove the mold and treat the surface so that it does not occur again?
