Unhappy

We were given misinformation on how to lay tile in our basement. Our friend forgot to tell us that we had to let the glue setup for awhile BEFORE laying the tile(not ceramic). THe floor sure looked nice before we walked on it. But then the glue came oozing out. If we pop up a few tiles can we dry up enough of the glue and the excess moisture to save the floor without replacing all of the tile? Or should we just start over? It has been over a year
and the glue is still coming out.

Bob: I guess glue was the wrong word to use. I can't tell you the name or the type of adhesive but I can tell you it was a dark, dirty yellow color. If that's the color of mastic do you have an answer for me?

not sure what you used...

Not sure what you used. Did you get this glue from the place you got the tiles? Did you use a notched spreader?

Without actually seeing this, I'd say you probably need to pull up the tiles and glue and start over. Did you have moisture problems before you started?
