How best to heat a basement

We had an extension put on our cape cod house. It included a basement. Now, we have just broken a 5 foot opening in the original basement foundation to the new basement, to make a nice big area.

I am unsure how to best place the heater in the new section. The original basement has a convector and I have a nice big convector left over (I think I took it out of my boiler room years ago) that I will put in the new section.

I am also thinking 12 recessed lights.

The new ceiling will be sheetrocked as is the existing section.

The attached diagram shows details. I have lettered the walls to make it easier for any discussion. Also in the image:
- black is the existing convector
- yellow are recessed lights
- blue are windows

We have now opened another 5 foot opening on wall B, just to the right of the letter B.

Any thoughts on where best to place the second convector?

I'm thinking under the rightmost window in the new basement.

As for the thermostat location, maybe just outside the bathroom?
