Replace a wall on Curb-less basement slab

Hi All,

Iíve got a 1906 craftsman in Seattle and the front of the basement slab has no curb. It runs straight out to gravel under a porch AND we have seasonal flow under our slab from the backyard (drained under the porch by a sump). All that to say we have a rotten plywood wall that I need to replace, right before the holidays, of course.

My question: is it worth pouring a new curb before I just build a new wall on some treated lumber anchored to the slab (as the existing wall was done). If so, how would I tie it in to prevent it from leaking? Is that even possible for a relative newb? The base board is totally rotten and it all needs to go!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
