2 opposite cinder-block foundation walls 8', cracked

Hi all,

We acquired a 2 bd/2 level/ walk-in 8' basement, 1900 sq. feet with 2 opposite, cinder-block, 8' foundation walls, cracked, leaking water, etc. Do we: 1) dig the exterior dirt out, raise the foundation 4" to 6", one side at a time, replace the cinder-blocks and cement??? What support jacks, how many support jacks and where to place them??? No concrete slab upper floor, just wood. Thank you for your answers.

Just my opinion, you have some serious issues there, doubt that qualifies as a DIY project!

You have a major problem. House jacking is not something you just teach on the Internet in few sentences.

Since those walls failed so badly you may be in for more work than simply re-doing the cement blocks. There may be footer issues as well as expansive soils to deal with which further complicate things.
