Question

I am redoing my basement. The person we bought the house from had panaling for the walls and ceiling. That is all gone now, it is just cinderblock walls left. It was damp down there so it was all warped. There was a little water coming in from one corner and it was because of a crack that i could see outside through. I also trenched it. The crack is fixed and the trench is filled again. The basement is still damp and smells musty and i have had a dehumidefire going constantly since the repairs(about 2 weeks). How do i get rid of the smell and dampness, permanantly?
