Basement flooring for home gym

We have house built in 1965. We would like to install rubber matting in a quarter of our basement for a home gym. Each mat weighs about 100 lbs. and we would use approximately 14-16 mats. Would the concrete slab be able to support this much weight in just one section of the basement? The room is roughly 21x15 ft

Yes, the concrete floor should be able to support the weight without much trouble. 3'000 psi is a common strength for concrete. Your matts probably are only ounces per square inch so the concrete will hardly notice the weight.

I keep up to 4 tons of pellets on my basement floor at any given time. You'll be fine.
