Unhappy

I have some minor damage in my Sill plate directly under my front door... I need to replace my front door and want to repair my sill plate first. The damage is about a 3ft length of a 2x10... about 1-3 inches into the wood...
Do I repair it by replacing the entire board or do I cut out the bad and put in a 2x4 piece? Thanks, J

Cool

If you're just talking about just a 3' 2X10, remove it and replace it with a same-size piece of pressure-treated wood.
Good Luck!
