Question

I have an attic area of 676 square feet with 4 roof vents, 60 sq inches each, and two 4" circular vents embedded in my bricked gable on opposite sides of the attic. I would like to install a power vent, but my home doesn't have soffits for intake and all of the gabled area is brick. The power vent is 1000 CFM's. What are my options? Keit

Keitaka1,
Before you install any power vent install soffit vents. You need a proper flow of lower cold air entering through the lower portion of the roof to exhaust in the upper hot exhaust area of the roof. 1 square foot net air flow per 150 square feet of attic space. Distribute them evenly throughout the house.
How old is your house and location to not have soffit vents installed?

I'm in Detroit, the house is Colonial and was built in 1941. my gutters are flush with the brick at the base of the roof, no eaves or overhang. Kiet
