Silly question...basement shelves...
Are there any plans out there for basement shelves?
I don't mean fancy ones, I mean the type that everyone has in the "old" part of their basement? Usually 2x's and plywood sheets and bolted/not bolted to joists...I try to cram projects into weekends, and plans help immensly, time wise, as opposed to "riggin" something together...Or a site with plans on it?
Thanks gang!

Buy the Shelves instead
I buy my shelves now rather than build them. The heavy duty, industrial strength shelves are now very affordable. A couple weeks ago I bought my 4th or 5th shelving unit from Sams Club. The brand they carry is called "Gorilla Rack". This shelf unit is 18"x4'x7' tall had 6 adjustable shelfs, and cost $59. If you didn't want to go 7' tall you could build two units of 3 1/2' tall. The various big box home stores have these also but I believe are a little more expensive. These are very sturdy units and in fact are advertised as possible shop workbenches. The shelves are nearly fully adjustable, made of heavy gauge steel angle iron, and have wood press board tops. I will say it again, these are heavy duty, the package weighted over 150lbs.
I like them because the individual shelves are adjustable, I can move them wherever I want as my needs change, and finally when I move from this house they move with me. I am tired of leaving my well constructed basement shelves behind when I move. The only shelves I have built in the last 5 years came from scrap lumber off on old deck I rebult. I went ahead and built them because it was use the old lumber or haul it off somewhere.
Good Luck

Try looking on the varous big box store web sites, maybe you can get prices & info rather than doing a lot of foot work.
Good Luck
