BOCA Building codes for basement
I am in the process of planning a remodel of my basement and want to reference the BOCA building codes. Does BOCA provide codes specifically for basements? Or is it a combination of all the seperate codes from the seperate disciplines?

The codes are for a specific item. Like a certain rated fire door. The fire door could be upstairs, downstairs, etc. Most common sense items will meet codes. It is when someone tries to cut corners or get out of spendings and extra $100 dollars that code violations start. For basements you need to watch for ceiling height, window size, stairways, electrical, plumbing, etc. Good Luck
