Basement Wood trim...before carpet or after?

Hello,

I am close to the point where I will add carpeting to my basement.

My basement is a concrete slab, which I plan to clean and paint.

Is it best to apply carpeting first to the floor, and add wall trim afterwards, or should I apply the trim first, and apply the carpet last.

Although it makes sense to me to apply the trim last, some people have told me to apply the trim first, because it's easier for future carpet changes.

(But applying the trim first sounds like a nightmare...trim can't touch floor, leveling...etc.)

Advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

You put down the carpet first, then the trim. Trim comes right off is need to be down the road.
