Framing around drain pipes

Hello,
I'm framing a bathroom wall in the basement with steel studs. The drain I'll be tying into runs from upstairs and into the concrete floor. Off of that drain is a drain pipe that I'll tie into for the bathroom vanity. It runs perpindicular to my studs and paralell with the wall. I cant offset the wall to eliminate framing around this due to the toilet rough-in being right at 15" from the concrete wall. My question is how do I hang my studs with this drain pipe in the way? Can I cut the back of my studs out? Or can I turn my studs so they are 2 5/8" to the sheet rock rather than the 1 1/2"?
Thanks for any help!

You can do either of those...or you can cut the pipe back to a few inches from the vertical stack and then re-reun it after you frame and simply cut holes for the drain thru each stud.
