Outdoor entrance to the basement
#1

Plans are to make a cement block wall and some steps, and cut open the wall, and your in.Any type of info on what's first. Have it down for the wall, then steps then open the wall. Problem is do you have to dig out all the dirt to put up the block wall, and then add it back to pour steps.Or can you step the wall back into the steps. Any help is great. Thanks!

I added a entrance to my basment last year... Dug it out with back hoe made 4 cuts with rented saw from home depot (2cuts inside, 2 outisde sledge hammered out block, added a lil finish concrete work to smooth out cut and get a lil bit of a lip for The Prefab Step unit I bought.... Once you have dug cut and finished off, they come with big truck and set it in place, BIG BOLTS and the lip I poured holds the unit, Bilco doors added installed by them for $1700..... Hole cost $150 to get dug, $65 to rent saw, and then added 3ft steel door from home depot $145...Approx $200 for an awesome entrnace way with not alot of work, JUST WATCH THE DUST WHEN U MAKE 2 CUTS ON INSIDE , my wife still complains about that day.....
) Let em know if I can help any further, My uncle is a mason and when I gave him options, he said tying in a exit with block is tuff because u must tooth block in with exicsting foundation, lots of work!!!!
