Cleaning Attic/Crawl Space

Cleaning Attic/Crawl Space
I couldn't find another subject area where this issue would fit, so here goes. Had a tar and gravel roof redone and the roofer stripped the entire old roof down to the bar roof boards. Unfortunately a lot of gravel and gravel size pieces of tar slipped through the roof boards and down into the attic/crawl space. (4ft at the highest point and 18in at the lowest) So, we are talking about 2700 sq ft (30x90ft) of attic that I would like to clean. One opening into the attic at one end. What is the best way/easiest way to clean this up. I could drag a shop vac up there and make a couple dozen trips. Very difficult , but if it must be done then I guess I could do this over time and not all in one day. Of course after the vac is full each time it will be very difficult dragging it back to the openning. My question is basically can I use a shop dust collector or would a strong vac work from below.(I would need about 100 ft of hose which I really don't wish to buy). I know many shops have 100ft of pipe so that's why I ask about the dust collector. Also, we are not talking about wood chips, but gravel. Would a collector or vac be strong enough? Any other ideas? Thanks.

Gravel in the attic
If the gravel is not creating a problem, you could just forget about it. You could also take a dust pan and stiff janitorial dust brush and sweep up the gravels and dump them into buckets which could be lowered down to a helper below for dumping.
