i have just bought a new house, the basement is empty and requires work, the walls are bare, height is about 8 feet, dry to the best of my knowledge, no proper doorways only arches of missing bricks, plumbing is none exciting, but electrical wire is available in all four rooms, floor is uneven but solid. the question is where do i start? What do I need, I don?t have much experience in the diy, so as much help the better, also if there?s book or website which will be helpful don?t hastate to let me know. the room are going to:- room 1 - utility room room 2 - gym room 3 - shower/sauna room room 4 - tv room

Does anyone have insight on the prices? I'm getting around $2600 for this Job. rock mud and tape 580 sq ft then throw in the ceiling.
