basement mositure

I just completed remodeling part of our basement and as spring and summer is approaching we were wondering what is best to use to remove humidity and mositure a dehumidifier or airconditionesr? We added 2 separate rooms in our basement.

I would appreciate anyones help.

A dehumidifer is the best solution. I have central air and when we moved into our house the moister onthe basement walls and mildew was unbareble.

I want to install a drop ceiling in a basement bedroom, but because of heating/cold air return ducts, I need to have two levels of ceiling. How do I do this? I would prefer to have the same type of ceiling throughout, rather than drywall the lower section. Any ideas?

I am preparing to put down my flooring in my almost finished basement. My floor is concrete, is there anything else recommended that I put over the concrete other than or in addition to Dryloc and carpet padding? Thanks for your responses!!!
