I just completed remodeling part of our basement and as spring and summer is approaching we were wondering what is best to use to remove humidity and mositure a dehumidifier or airconditionesr? We added 2 separate rooms in our basement. I would appreciate anyones help. Thanks

I'm finishing my basement and plan to drywall the walls, with a suspended ceiling. I've already studded out the walls, and now am questioning what type of insulation I should use. My studs are pretty much right next to the wall, which I am realizing now may have been a mistake. I've read to allow some sort of air space. Also, I have heard from some friends to put plastic sheeting against the block wall, then use insulation before drywalling. I was planning to use fiberglass insulation, with a vapor barrier (plastic) on the inside before the drywall. Will moisture wick off the wall into the fiberglass? What are my alternatives? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Craig
