Angry Starlings in the attic

I have starlings in the attic and would like to know what I need to do to remove them. I had a pest removal service come out, but I can't afford to pay. What can I do? What materials do I need to buy?

Removal of starlings from the attic

Nests will need to be removed and starlings flushed from the attack and openings into the home should be sealed. Attic should be treated for mites and lice as many health-related issues have been associated with birds nesting in human occupied structures. Wear a mask when removing nests and promptly place in plastic bags and seal.

The best control for starlings in the attic is to prevent their invasion by sealing all possible entries into the home. Make sure attic and soffit vents are properly screened and entries around pipes and wires entering the home are caulked. Click the following link for additional information:

Mite control

Mites can be controlled in attics with foggers and insecticides labelled for mite control.
