Question strange copper pipe

While refinishing my basement I found a copper pipe that was laying in a shallow pour of concretious grout at the corner of the basement flood and wall. The copper pipe was looped and was filled with something that smelled like paint thinner or aceton. It smelled like some sort of solvent. Does this mean anything to anyone. Why would it have been secured in the corner with concrete?

Are you sure this isn't the rough-in drain for a shower? Or perhaps your floor drain? Perhaps the "looped" part is just the trap? And it's filled with whatever the last painter used to clean up.

copper pipe

No, the copper pipe is only about 1/2" in diameter. It doesn't lead to anything or from anything.

An airconditioner drain?
