basements/basement walls and floors
Is there a special paint or what do i use to help seal the inside of my basement walls and floors ? I would like to start getting ready to finish my basement and would like to know what i can do on my own to prepare for this and help cut the costs. My basement isn't too damp, mostly dry unless we get a good rain. I was wondering if there was a special paint i have to use or if i could use the same outside white paint for concrete blocks? Please let me know. thanks, francie

francie..... you really need to cure your water problems before you think about finishing the basement. You mentioned that the room is "mostly dry unless we get a good rain". Do you get puddles or water seeping through the walls?
