Attic insulation safety

Hi,
I wanted to wire an RJ45 connection from our Master Bedroom to our kids bedroom for internet connection. I want do the wiring via the attic space. The attic has insulation. DO I need to wear some sort of respirator to traverse the attic?

Unless you're moving the insulation around a lot, no. Even if you do, a cheap paper mask should be more than adequate.

If you have serious dust allergies, it's a different matter of course.

And do yourself a favor and wear gloves and a long sleeve shirt if it's fiberglass insulation. Otherwise you'll end up very, very itchy.

Lightbulb Do the job early in the morning

Before it gets hot up in the attic, you normally have till 10am to get the work done
