Bicycle repair

Spoke adjustments to correct wheel wabble:
1. I started by loosening all spokes.
2. Tightened just enough to reduce spoke slack.
3. Checked for wabble points on wheel and placed marker tape.
4. Slightly tightened several spokes on opposite side of wabble points.
5. Tightened slack from remaining spokes.
I got resonable results from this "home-made" procedure.
Is there a better way of doing this?

Joe,
Thanks for your reply. My first attempt! Good to know that I am on the right track. It will go faster next time.
Best regards,
