wood or honeycomb blinds best for heat retention?

Would the Hunter Douglas Silhouette or a honeycomb blind provide better heat retention/cold block than wood slat blinds?

Thanks

yes, and the triple honeycomb would be better than the double.

Not to hijack the thread but as far as triple and double honeycomb blinds are concerned, how much better would the triple perform compared to the double?

Reason I ask is that I'm looking at the Hunter Douglas Duette blinds and for some reason the double have many more options and colors when compared to the triple.

50% better.

just kidding.........i have no idea. if you have access to the sample/info books, it should give you a pretty good idea. it just stands to reason that 2 cells of air will insulate more than just 1 cell. exactly how much, i don't know. but if the double has the colors/options you want, i'd say that's a good choice. it's better than a single pleated shade, that's for sure!

Thumbs down Triple is better [Advertising is not permitted]

The triple cell shades will insulate about 15% better than the double and about 30% better than the single. Any more questions, you can reach me at xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
