bali blinds bracket

The bracket for my bali blinds does not mount on the upper siding of my window. Instead the two holes in it face the window. I dont have enough aluminum to drill and screw into this way. I need a bracket that screws in up and not into the window itself. Any thoughts?

are you sure you're looking at it right? you should have holes situated so that you can either screw into the side of the window frame or the "ceiling" of the window frame. maybe you've got the right & left brackets switched.

yes, that would help. but first, are these mini blinds or wood blinds or ?? did they come with an installation instruction sheet? have you gone to their website to see if there's installation info there? bali.com maybe?
