Help! plastic wand broke off of miniblind tilt mechanism
Help. The metal loop at the bottom of the twist mechanism broke through so the plastic wand won't attach. I tried drilling a small hole through the bottom of the metal twist mechanism to wire the plastic wand on but this lasted only about a week. Needless to say duct tape is unsightly & comes right off. Is there a description of how to repair this or does anybody have any ad hoc suggestions?

You must replace the tilt gear of which this metal piece is part of. You will need to know the manufacturer of the blind. Take it to your local window treatment retailer and they should be able to get it.

Yes if the metal loop is broken you will need to replace the tilter mech. You will need to know the manufacturer of the blind needing the part. You can go to a site called www.blindsparts.com they provide a huge selection of blind parts and also pictures of the parts so you know before ordering, what you would be receiving. Good luck.
