Motorized roller shade help
We have two sliding glass doors that need new shades. One is a twelve foot and one is eight foot.
The 12' is a tripple slider and the 8' is a double.
We were thinking of a single light filtering shade on each that is motorized.
First, is using a single shade on each a good idea?
Second, any suggestions of where I can find and order them?
Thanks

That's a pretty wide expanse, so not 100% sure if you can get one shade, but if you can, the roller would have to be pretty large to be extra heavy duty, and it may jut out into the room a bit more than you'd like.
Regardless, this would have to be a custom order, from a dealer or someone that sells hard window treatments, to get the size you need and have it motorized. This isn't something you can just order online somewhere.
The other thing is, are you aware of pricing? You're probably looking into the thousands, so be prepared for sticker shock.

I was just checking out Blinds & Window Treatments - Shop Window Coverings | Blindsgalore and I think they might have what you're looking for, but will still probably cost you at least $1000 or slightly more.
Just go to features and pick motorized from the list.

Thank you for the info.
Maybe the best solution is to use three on the 12' and two on the 8'.
I saw some interesting motor units on ebay. The cost was not outrageous. I did find that the 12' shade was over $1000. The four foot shades may be much better.
