Shade for Skylights

I have recessed skylights in the bedroom and bathroom. I am looking to install some type of shades to keep the rooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The sun beats down all day and heats the room up. In the winter cold air comes in through cracks and heat escapes.

I am looking for a pull down type of shade to cover the whole opening of the skylight. I would have measure each opening of the skylight.

Any recommendations?

Most of the online stores that sell custom blinds and shades will have them. You won't find them off the shelf in a readymade.

Smith and Noble sells honeycomb skylight shades.

Blinds.com sells skylight cellular shades.

There are others too, if you do a google search.

Just put in your width and length, then add any options you want, and you'll get a price. You might want to consider motorization for these. They're not as pricey anymore as they once were.

I have ordered from Blinds.com several time and had mostly good results. Most of their custom, sized to order products come from China so it may take 2-3 weeks to receive your order but the quality of the blinds is good.

Thanks for the responses. I am looking for a pull down or something that slides where you have a track on either side and from the top you slide the shade down and lock it in place. I know it would have to be a custom order.
