If you look at the picture on the top in the middle you will see a large yellow painted check valve before the supply manifold which has four pipes with foil faced pipe insulation around them. This is partially obstructed by the return manifold.

I was reading about Flo Valves on the Bell and Gossett web site:

Bell & Gossett - The Flo-Control Valve

and it mentioned that these could be used either in-line with the side tapping or as elbows with the bottom tapping. Are you familiar with these valves? Does this look like something that would work in my situation? Their diagram shows a setup with the circulators on the supply end whereas mine are on the return end so I wasn't sure how they would be plumbed in this type of setup.

I believe I've managed to answer my own question. Flo-valves cannot be used in this situation. A standard non-return check valve is what I need. I'm assuming I will need one for each circulator on its discharge side before it branches in with the main return into the furnace.

With this in mind I have two new questions. First, how far should the check valves be located from the nearest elbow and from each of the circulators? Second, where does the house water supply need to come in? Should it be on the furnace side of the check valves?

I've tried to get better angle shots of the furnace setup. I have some radiator covers stacked near the furnace while I'm having the floor leveled so for the moment, these are the best shots I can get.

Thanks for your help, NJTrooper, and everyone else who has contributed to this thread.
