Kicker heater piping

What is the proper way to pipe a toe kicker heater (1/2" supply and return) on a 3/4" single pipe series loop baseboard heating system when using monoflow t's? Should 1 or 2 monoflow t's be used? If 1 monoflow t required on which side supply or return?

One monoflo tee is all that is required if the heating loop is below the heater. The location of the tee isn't too critical, although I prefer to use them on the return side of the heater because you get less air in the heater that way. Be sure to put a balancing valve in the line to the heater in case you need to regulate the flow.
