Isolation Damper

The first BB in my two zone system vibrates when the circulator pump is on. It is the first BB in the piping and about Six feet from the pump. Is there a type of isolation damper that could be used between the pump and the first BB?

It would be less expensive to replace the pump. What circulator is on it now?
If it is an old B&G #100, or Taco #110 or an Armstrong, I would suggest a Taco 007. You can't even tell when they are running when you are holding your hand on the pump. It should cost around $75.

Isolation Damper

They are new Taco pumps and in the boiler room it is quite. The viabration comes through the pipe and can be heard in the first BB unit. The second unit on the system is quite.

If it is a new Taco 007, it may need a cartridge. It may have been run dry or some contamination may have gotten into it. It should not vibrate AT ALL.
