Question bleed radiator forced hot water

I have a forced hot water system in an older home, with some radiator and some cast iron base board. One radiator is cold. I believe it is at the end of the line. How do I bleed it? (There is a painted-over screw at the far top end of the radiator and a valve at the near, lower end, connectedt to a pipe)

Thanks - VJ

VJ - Welcome to the DIY Forums

You need to bleed it thru the small valve on the top end of the radiator. You will need a radiator key to bleed it (available at most hardware stores). If you cannot get water out of it, then there is not enough water in the system to get it to this radiator. So, add water, if the auto-fill valve does not.

If you don't know how, please hit the reply button below and tell us what the pressure guage on the boiler is reading, and how many stories you have in your house.
